Revolutionary Run: One of the most anticipated events of July 4 weekend, take part in the 35th Annual Revolutionary Run at Washington Crossing Historic Park. There are three races in which you can participate, the one-mile fun run, 5K road race, and 10K road race. Bring friends and enjoy the team competition with up to five members. Pre-registration is now available, and all proceeds will support emergency services and educational scholarships.

New Britain Borough Parade: If you’re living near New Britain, stop by and watch the parade, which begins at the Town Center Shopping Center on Route 202. There will be floats, fire trucks, bands and more. If you’re up for the challenge, participate in the parade and sign up for the float contest or drive your vintage car down the parade route. Barbecue at Sesame Place: Bring the kids to Langhorne on July 3 or July 4 and enjoy a barbecue at Sesame Place! In the company of your favorite Sesame Street characters, watch a firework display with music set to the theme of the show. Reservations and tickets are required to attend.

Southampton Days Fair: On July 4, the community of Southampton is celebrating Independence Day in style. Start the day with a baby parade, followed by a flag raising ceremony and the awarding of parade prizes in Lions Grove. Return in the evening for country fair activities, concerts, games, rides, bingo, food, and fireworks. Everyone participating in the parade must register.

July First Friday Celebration: Head over to Bristol Borough for their First Friday of July celebration on the 3rd. Enjoy live music, entertainment for the kids that includes a balloon artist, caricaturist, hula hoopists, and a face painter. Plus, stop by the beer garden at the King George II Inn.

Newtown’s First Fourth Celebration: If you’re still in the patriotic spirit the week after the holiday, attend Newtown’s First Fourth at Newtown Middle School. Attendees will see fireworks at dusk, interactive activities including a re-enactment and a celebration with America’s pastime, a baseball game.

National Constitution Center: The weekend of July 4th, you can receive free admission at the National Constitution Center at Independence Mall in Philadelphia. The space is devoted to the US Constitution and the freedoms that the document has provided us. The All American Celebration on July 2 and July 3 includes numerous patriotic displays and festivities. Enjoy an interactive Independence Day show that examines the history of the Declaration of Independence. Create arts and crafts, and listen to colonial music performances.
