Sand Castle Winery’s Magnificent Seven Archive Wine Tasting

The New Year officially begins on January 10 with an exclusive wine tasting at Sand Castle Winery. An educational event, seven wines will be presented by the Sand Castle winemaker. Tasting vintages from 1992-2010, all attendees will be learning the secrets of wine making—from the bottle to the aging process. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and limited seating is available, so be sure to get your tickets for a wonderful experience in Erwinna, PA.

Lambertville-New Hope Winter Festival

Hosted by Twin Rivertown Projects, the week-long event kicks off on January 23 through January 31. Experience the festival and take part in a number of exciting events, including ice sculptures, a Mummers parade, a chili cook off, and plenty of activities for the children. All proceeds from the festival will support local recreation, food banks, parks, and community services.

LEGO Castle Adventure

Explore the Mercer Museum and construct your very own castle with LEGO bricks. At the Mercer Museum in Doylestown, PA, enter the LEGO kingdom and find an abundance of secret passageways. Joust on LEGO horses, see a dragon, climb a lookout tower, test the defenses, and more! Produced by the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, there are three build areas for age-appropriate children. Don’t miss out on the action as it lasts through January 17.

Seventh Annual Burns Night

Travel to the Black Bass Hotel for an evening of revelry during the 7th annual Burns Night. Celebrate the life of Scotland’s National Poet Robert Burns with four savory courses and drinks that include wine, whisky, beer, and port. With numerous toasts from the men, enjoy the witty reply from the women. The event takes place on January 22 at the Black Bass Hotel in Lumberville, PA, and tickets cost $125 per person.

Martin Luther King Day of Service and Art

Bring the family together to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. on January 17 at the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA. Learn about the lifestyle and art of the Maasai people living in Kenya. King’s work of art based on the Maasai people will be on display, and participants will create a work of art and write letters to a Maasai pen pal. The event is free to attend.
